Prevent Risk by Promoting Change
The mission of Risk Management is to apply generally accepted risk management principles and techniques, in partnership with all departments within the County, to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the County’s employees and the citizens it serves, its property, assets, and other resources.
Risk Management Scope of Focus
- Identify and analyze risk to implement loss control measures and programs in order to minimize risk
- Provide consultative services for departments to effectively manage risk
- Embed safety practices and standards into the culture and operations
- Review insurance requirements for agreements, contracts, and use of facilities
- Administer the County’s liability, property, professional, and special events programs
